Help Me Achieve My Dream: The Good Food Factory

Almost two weeks ago now I was sad, lonely and lost.
I was at a complete loss as to what I should do with my life. I asked for help and inspiration and it poured in! I sifted through everything and took it all to heart.

The next-most beneficial thing that has happened to me over the past two weeks is that I have spent an amazing amount of time by myself. This means I have had a lot of time to think. A lot. It gets dark at 5pm and the campground is half deserted and as much as I try and talk to Dungee she mostly just licks the sand off her belly when I ask her what I should do with my life.

One thing I learned this past week is that your dreams are in fact a complete reality, if you choose to believe in them. Well, I wasn't believing in my dream! I was just sitting back and scared to talk about it because I didn't want to be seen as a crazy-too-big-dreamer. That, my friends, is not a way to live!

I have my lifestyle dream in place right now. I live in a naturally beautiful area and I can surf like crazy (two hours today! Yee-haw!). But then I got here and I forgot all about fulfilling my soul with my dream JOB. I think that's where it all went spiraling away from me and why I ended up sad, broke and lonely. You can't just put your dream on a shelf!

I know I am postponing it, and hopefully you are DYING to know... WHAT IS MY DREAM?

My dream is to be the host of a Cooking Show.
A Cooking Show that teaches kids how to cook specifically.
Even more specifically? It's called "The Good Food Factory".

The Good Food Factory is actually pretty far along. I worked on it when I was still living in New York with a group of really talented and amazingly fun people. My last two weekends in New York were spent shooting 3 pilot episodes. In fact, my last DAY in New York was spent shooting! I have just received 3 beautifully edited and amazingly awesome episodes in the mail from the producers at Grumpy Films and OH MY GOODNESS! We have a HIT on our hands people!

I can't believe I put this dream on a shelf!?! Am I nuts!?!? This show is so much fun, so real, so positive, so just, well, rocking! I want to do this! I want it to be a show you can see on TV and you can watch and learn how to cook really fun food, from scratch! I want to be able to inspire kids to eat healthy by making healthy foods cool! I want to show up to work, get all dirty making food and meet kids from all over the world! I am so excited thinking about this dream.

But I can't do it all on my own! I need HELP! And seeing as you all were such rockstars the last time I asked for help, I'm going right back at you again!

Help me get "The Good Food Factory" into the hands of the people that will buy it and put it on Television!
You got a cousin who married a girl who has a dentist who has a son who works at NBC? Give me his info!
Did your old babysitter move on to be an intern at Nickelodeon? Give her my number!
Is your college roommate now married to Rachel Ray's third cousin? TELL THEM ABOUT ME!

I think you get the idea...

Ask me any questions, and I'll tell you no lies!
You need a DVD of the show? You got it!
You want to host a screening for kids that you know to see if they like it? DEAL!

Let's DO THIS! Let's get The Good Food Factory out there!

I'm going to work on getting some clips from the folks at Grumpy Films so you can see how adorably awesome the Good Food Factory is!

And for anyone that helps?!? Free tickets to Good Food Factory tapings for life!!! (Plus Food)
"Because any kitchen can be a Good Food Factory! Including YOURS!
All you need to do is cook Good Food, with Good Friends, from scratch!"

Cook On,
Amanda
